Accept the steaming mess, the crackling pain, the jagged edges, the unanswered questions. Be still and know. Gradually. Eventually. Inevitably.

Twelve new moons
Also 365 solar noons
Despite old history we
Cross the threshold to
Unfold our untold story
This year of the Ox with
Oxygen in inhale and stale
Carbon dioxide on exhale as
Breath brings birth and death
Or as the Aged Sage transmits
While I dare submit to translate:

道可道非常道
A story spoken is not
The eternal story

名可名非常名
A name given is not
The absolute name

無名天地之始
The origin of heaven and earth
Is anonymous

有名萬物之母
The mother of myriad things
Is eponymous

故常無欲以觀其妙
Thus to see their wonder
Desire less

常有欲以觀其徼
To view their border
Desire more

此兩者同出而異名
These two emerge from same
Yet differ in name

同謂之玄
Then merge as mystery

玄之又玄衆妙之門
Mystic mysteries are the
Door to wondrous wonders
